2006 GONG BATTLE EUROPE Roc Raida's Gong Battle For World Supremacy stopped off at Bar Rumba in London on Friday September 8th. REMIX ATLANTA September 6-8, 2006 Stanton was out in full effect at REMIX Hotel Atlanta. The Stanton booth hosted daily performances by Master Fuol and DJ IllNaughty and BET Rap City's MadLinx, and showcased all of the latest hot products like the new C.314 Tabletop CD/MP3 players and the newly redesigned Stanton cartridge line. Partnered with the 2006 Billboard Hip Hop Music Conference and Awards, the event reeled in some of hip hop's heavyweights such as Ludacris and Jermaine Dupree... even NBA star Ron Artest came through to check it out. CROTONA PARK JAMZ Stanton was a proud sponsor of the Crotona Park Jams in Bronx, NY throughout the month of July. Presented by Tools of War, the event was a huge success, bringing together old school and new school hip hop fans alike for a series of Thursday nights featuring the top turntablists from all around. Performances included names like Roc Raida, Popmaster Fabel, Kool Herc, the Cold Crush Brothers, Kool DJ Red Alert, DMC World Champ DJ Cash Money, Jazzy Jay, and many more. 2006 TURNTABLIST SESSIONS Every Thursday throughout the month of June, Stanton represented at the 2006 Turntablist Sessions series. Held in Queens' beloved Rufus King Park, this Hip Hop park jam series featured decades of legendary partyrockers, selectors, and DJ Battle champs. The event was arranged and hosted by Tools of War, and featured performances by legends such as the X-ecutioners, DJ Tony Tone of the Cold Crush Brothers, Grand Wizzard Theodore, Johnny "Juice" Rosado (Public Enemy), Fat Fingaz (IBP), and countless others. |
